Over the last few decades, Rhodes holidays have made a name for themselves as being one of the best tourist experiences in the world. The island itself also has a reputation for being the sunniest of all the many Greek islands, so if you’re looking for a holiday where the weather is guaranteed to be exactly how you want it, Rhodes holidays are definitely for you.

The islands namesake town is a microcosm for the rest of the island, with the beautiful and traditional old town contrasting with the newer tourist areas which offer up a world class nightlife combined with some amazing beaches. The town is also a great start if you’re looking to explore the culture of the island on your Rhodes holidays – it’s where one of the seven wonders of the ancient world once stood. Although the colossus hasn’t stood for thousands of years, there’s still plenty of visible history left on the island, both ancient and more modern that’s waiting to be explored by anyone willing to take a break from sunbathing and clubbing.

Only a few miles south of Rhodes Town is the town of Faliraki which is very popular with the younger crowd for its extensive network of clubs and bars, many of which are open until the early hours of the morning. The town is a stunning contrast to the much quieter resort of Ixia which is home to older couples and families seeking a relaxing and somewhat less active holiday experience. Despite being a slower pace, these types of Rhodes holidays are in no way isolated from the rest of the island and many family resorts are very close to Rhodes Town itself and also some of smaller medieval villages situated right on the coast.

The best time to go to Rhodes is in the summer season, although the season on the island is greatly extended to what you might see elsewhere in Europe. You can expect temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees from as early as March until as late as November.
