July is one of the most popular times to take a holiday with hot temperatures across the established European resorts. Holidays in July are especially popular with families as it is the ideal times for them to spend some time away together during the school holidays.

The established resorts such as Spain, The Balearics, Portugal and The Canaries are ever popular at this time of year so it advisable to book early to get a place at your chosen hotel, villa or even resort. Hotels that offer facilities for children such as kid’s clubs or babysitting are popular for holidays in July as they give parents a chance to truly relax knowing their children are being well taken care of.

The Mediterranean is an ideal destination for holidays in July. Greece and Cyprus in particular are very popular destinations offering temperatures up to 27°c. These destinations both offer beautiful beaches to relax on and good value resorts set amongst stunning scenery. Both destinations offer a wealth of history to be discovered with visits to historical sites being the perfect distraction from long days on the beach.

July is also the ideal time to visit America or Mexico before the hurricane season starts. It may be worth booking a holiday to America to coincide with Independence Day as there are often many exciting celebrations such as fireworks and parades to enjoy. This is an ideal way to see the American way of life whilst on holiday.

Although holidays in July mean that you will be staying in busy resorts there are many advantages to travelling at this time of year. You will be able to make the most of the best weather available as well as facilities which may not be available out of season. There is always the option of travelling to a less established resort if you are looking for quiet and relaxation.
