There are a lot of options around when picking a modern holiday that can easily be confusing if you're a first time holiday maker or even if you've been on holiday before but want to try something different. One thing that confuses people more than any other type of holiday is the all inclusive holiday. Although these types of holidays can be a great reason to get away, there are some things that you should be aware of the next time you are considering taking an all inclusive holiday to the sun.
Firstly and most importantly, an all inclusive holiday relies on research before you book. This is true of any sort of holiday but it's even more important when you're looking at all inclusive because what 'extras' are included are the things that could make or break your holiday experience and factor heavily into how much your holiday budget will be. Without knowing exactly what you'll receive on an all inclusive holidays, it's virtually impossible to sort out how much money to take with you.
At minimum an all inclusive holiday should include a range of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals - usually in a buffet style for dinner and breakfast - and drinks as free. As such, it's important to make sure you know when meals are served so you can plan you day around them and find out when the bar is open - some resorts keep it up 24 hours while others will only run the bar for 7 hours a day. There's no point being able to get free drinks if you can't get access to them on your own terms!
Likewise, it's important to find out if things like entertainment, children's clubs and outside-of-meal snacks are included in the price as these are things that can quickly add up while you take advantage of everything the resort has to offer. If you keep these things in mind and make sure you are clear on exactly what you're getting, taking an all inclusive holiday can be a very rewarding choice.
